Sr. Land Agent-Wind

Location(s): Illinois and Texas  

Position: Sr. Land Agent

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead landowner negotiations to secure long-term land agreements for renewable projects. 
  • Obtain fully executed documents, including leases, easements, and curative agreements. 
  • Coordinate with regional teams to implement land acquisition campaigns, identify landowners, and negotiate contracts. 
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and presentations and maintain ongoing relationships. 
  • Provide project updates and reports to the land acquisition manager. 
  • Support Community Relations teams with communications and project updates. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, JD, or MBA in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum 10 years of land acquisition experience; renewables background preferred. 
  • Expert-level knowledge in land, legal, and negotiation principles. 
  • Excellent sales, communication, and mentoring skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software. 

Working Conditions: 

  • 50% in-office environment; 50% field-based visiting landowners and attending meetings. 
  • Regular travel is required across project locations in Illinois and Texas. 
  • Fiscal Responsibilities: Assist with forecasting and reporting on project land acquisition budgets.
